Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Synclair Creations, a digital pattern membership operated by The Synclair Line LLC, a Missouri limited liability company doing business as Synclair Creations ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing a membership, you agree to these Terms.

1. What we sell

Synclair Creations is a subscription providing online access to a library of digital crochet and quilt patterns, delivered as downloadable PDF files, together with video stitch guides and supporting materials. This is a digital product. No physical goods are manufactured, sold, or shipped.

2. Subscription terms and recurring billing

• Your first month begins immediately upon payment of $3.50 USD and grants full library access.
• One month after purchase, your membership renews at $29.00 USD per month.
• The subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. There is no minimum term.
• We send an email reminder before your first $29.00 charge.
• All amounts are in US dollars (USD). Charges appear on your statement as SYNCLAIR CREATIONS.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days advance notice by email. Continued membership after a price change constitutes acceptance.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fee and no minimum commitment.

• Cancel from your account — log in and cancel your subscription in one click.
• Or contact us — email or call and we will cancel it for you within 48 hours.

If you cancel before your first month ends, you will not be charged the $29.00 monthly fee. If you cancel after your subscription has renewed, your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be billed again. 4. Delivery of digital content

Access is granted immediately upon successful payment. You will receive account credentials by email and can download patterns straight away. See our Delivery Policy.

5. Licence and permitted use

Your membership grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the patterns. You may:

• Download and print patterns for your own use
• Make items from the patterns for yourself or as gifts
• Sell finished handmade items you create from our patterns (commercial use licence, included at no extra cost)

You may not:

• Share, resell, redistribute, or republish the pattern files themselves
• Upload our patterns to any other website, marketplace, or file-sharing service
• Claim authorship of our original designs
• Share your account credentials with others

Pattern files you have downloaded before cancelling remain yours to keep and use under this licence.

6. Intellectual property

All patterns, designs, videos, and written content in the Synclair Creations library are the intellectual property of The Synclair Line LLC. Membership grants a licence to use, not ownership.

7. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Accounts are for individual use. We may suspend accounts we reasonably believe are being shared or used to redistribute our content.

8. Availability and changes to the library

We add patterns to the library regularly and may occasionally remove individual patterns. The removal of specific patterns does not constitute grounds for a refund, provided the library as a whole remains substantially available.

9. Disclaimers

Patterns are provided for creative and instructional purposes. Results depend on your materials, tools, tension, and technique. We make no guarantee that any particular project will turn out a particular way.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Synclair Line LLC's total liability arising from your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Disputes and chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us first. We respond to every message within 48 hours on business days and will resolve legitimate billing issues promptly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us prevents us from helping you and may result in your account being suspended.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Johnson County, Missouri.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued membership after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
